Little Girl

Little girl, gettin' hurt, can't say what she wants to
On the phone, all alone, trying to hide the tears
As she prays to the gods, if only he could find her

Little one, having fun, she doesn't know the
Different time, same rhyme, same situation
Never changes, always stays the

Same person she loved before
Just a different name walks out her door

And she sits by herself, never trust anyone else
Running from the pain, she's sick of all the facades
She wants it to be over, I just want to hold her
And show her what it means to be loved

Little girl, tired girl, she wants to go sleep
Away from the pain, it's insane, she's so sickened
The lies they tell, she can never tell the difference

Little child, just a child, she doesn't know where to turn
Around, all over town, she's just the headlined story
Her life spelled out in one word, simply the

Same person she loved before
Just a different name walks out her door

And she sits by herself, never trust anyone else
Running from the pain, she's sick of all the facades
She wants it to be over, I just want to hold her
And show her what it means to be loved

Little girl, gettin' hurt, can't say what she wants to
All around, over town, she's the story
She wants it to be over, and I just want to hold her
And show her what it means to be loved
